Time to Die is a handy chart to help convert the time to a d6 roll, giving you a starting point for a good time even when you leave the ol' bones at home.
Print it out, trim it down to 5x7, fold it in half and slip it in your pocket and play some games!

did you use a function of some sort to calculate the roll? like, given a time, do you have a mathematical function (say, hour times minutes modulus 6) you could use to find the number or is a chart 100% required?
Came up with a mod to further randomize it, relies on seconds.
Next Rolled Number: Direction of Second Hand.
North: 56-04 Seconds
North-East: 5-10 Seconds
East 11-19 Seconds
South-East: 20-25 Seconds
South: 26-34 Seconds
South-West: 35-40 Seconds
West: 41-49 Seconds
North-West: 50-55 Seconds
